Meet the Staff

Haylie Ferguson (Senior Editor)
This is Haylie's third year of yearbook at East. Although, her yearbook career started in elementary school when she designed the school's yearbook cover. She has always done a lot of art and design, so she has a passion for her work. When not working on her art, she likes to play with her corgi, Ellie, hang out with her tortoise, Skittles, practice her clarinet, or longboard around town. She is going to be attending UW-Oshkosh Fox Cities to start her studies for her Environmental Engineering degree next fall of 2023!

Kirstin Mueller (Junior Editor)
This is Kirstin's first year being part of the yearbook here at East. Throughout this creative experience, she's discovered her love for graphic design and would like to pursue a career regarding it in the future. When Kirstin isn't helping plan the yearbook, she enjoys creating different art pieces, spending quality time with friends and family, going for hikes with her two dogs (Doberman, Daisy, and Pitbull, Mia) along with playing and teaching violin to the younger generation. She has a passion for providing people with the joy of art, whether it's physical art on a canvas or it's the musical arts.

Amanda Nilsson-Jarolimek (Advisor)
This is Mrs. Nilsson's fourth year running yearbook. The 2022-2023 school year marks her ninth year teaching English at Appleton East. Mrs. Nilsson loves scrapbooking and completing DIY projects, so yearbook is right up her alley! She enjoys taking pictures of her rescue pups, Bruce and Alfred, and is planning her wedding with her husband, Mr. J!  They got married in Mexico during spring break in 2022 and are expecting their first child in January of 2023!
